What an incredibly fun-packed day we have had at Ecclesbourne celebrating World Book Day 2026 and all things books!
Ecclesbourne were luckily enough to have author Michael DeSouza visit this week.
Chants of ‘Take it off, take if off!’ echoed down the corridors at Ecclesbourne Primary School as children tried to guess who the masked reader was.
An amazing book-filled week at Cypress! Brilliant Book Week 2026! What an incredibly fun-packed week we have had at Cypress to celebrate all things books!
Spring has definitely sprung at WHJUN. In the autumn, hundreds of children took part in our annual bulb planting drive, each planting a daffodil or crocus bulb with their class teacher.
On Friday, schools across the trust participated in an interschool poetry competition.
In a week when children have been competing with other trust schools and off site visiting the natural History Museum, there has been lots going on in school too.
The Eco Squad have been working extremely hard this year and have made a fantastic contribution to our school environment.
This week EPS netball teams have had their first netball matches of the season against Norbury Manor and Winterbourne Against Norbury Manor, EPS first team, captained by Amiah, played very well -once they settled down and took at 2:0 lead.
Whether it’s lacing up fresh trainers before a match, hearing the roar of the crowd as you step onto the pitch, nailing a perfect shot or celebrating a last-minute win with your teammates — how would you describe the ultimate sports moment?
Year 5 had a fantastic time on Viking Day, taking part in a wide range of activities that helped them understand more about life in the past.
On Thursday, Year 5 were visited by the Vikings. The children enjoyed dressing up, taking part in role play and learning lots about Viking history.
On Wednesday 26th November, Year 5 enjoyed an exciting and informative visit from our local police officers.
