CYPRESS: A Bonanza Book Week at Cypress!
What a fabulous and fun-packed week we have had at Cypress to celebrate all things bookish!
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. Cypress School was buzzing with excitement as we kicked off Book Week with a fantastic visit from poet, Josh Siegal!
Yesterday, Year 6 had an online talk with the Author Matt Goodfellow.
This week, we’ve taken a thoughtful pause to reflect on the many ways we can demonstrate care—both for others, our environment and ourselves.
Ecclesbourne were delighted to host Sarah Jones, Labour MP for West Croydon and Minister of Industry.
Last week, all the children at Ecclesbourne Primary School participated in the NSPCC’s Speak Out, Stay Safe programme.
The Cypress Museum opened its doors today for one day only.
Last week, on Saturday, some of our Year 5 and Year 6 Cross country team competed in the Surrey Cross Country races.
On Friday 17th January both the school council and house captains visited the parliamentary education centre.
Year 5 had an enriching visit to the Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in West Croydon as part of their Religious Education unit on the Sikh faith.
Today we were visited by the MP for Croydon North and Streatham and the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Steve Reed.

We have been feeling very festive at Cypress Upper this week.
On Monday 9th December, Year 5 and 6 members of the upper school choir visited Acacia Care Centre.
We are very proud to announce that Miss Chapman, Deputy Head of School, is part of a Department for Education campaign to promote careers in the Early Years.
