News Cypress Primary School

Year 3 pupils have been focusing closely on their vocabulary and spelling skills over recent weeks.

Year 3 recently visited Fairfield Halls in Croydon to participate in the London Schools Literature Festival.

The children in Nursery became detectives this week! We had a new puzzle with lots of different coloured keys.

This week, children across Key Stage 2 took part in Cypress Primary’s very first Maths Competition and what a fantastic event it was!

This week at the Upper School, we have looking at how we can use smart questioning to help us deepen our learning. 

Welcome Back to Summer 2! How lovely it was to welcome back our Rainbow and Nursery children for our final half-term of the academic year.

Welcome back!  We have had a fantastic first week back and we can’t wait to enjoy all the wonderful learning experiences and events planned for this half term. 

This week has been very busy at Cypress Upper with both our Key Stage 2 Sports’ Days taking place.

What a spectacular way to start the new term! On Monday 1st June, our Year 3 pupils returned from their half-term holiday and immediately stepped into a time machine.

This week is Science Week and we have been exploring the theme of ‘curiosity‘ to find out about more about areas of science we are interested in.

After months of incredible dedication, focus and hard work, our wonderful Year 6 students have officially finished their SATs!

What an exciting start to a week we have had in Little Cypress!

Over the last couple of weeks in Year 1, we have been working hard to use fine lines to draw our African animal.

Superstar Writers! In Little Cypress, and especially in Nursery, we have been noticing that the children have been really interested in writing.

At the Lower School, we have learnt about different people who help us.
