Lunches at Pegasus

Cost of lunches at Pegasus schools

In the academic year 2023-24 all primary school meals in London are being funded by either the department for education or the Mayor of London.  Menus are different on every day of the week and have a ‘refresh’ twice a year.

From September 2023 the Pegasus Academy Trust uses ‘MagicBooking’  for all services that require payments.

Parents and carers please use this login when making a payment:

Food intolerances and allergies

At Pegasus we have worked with our caterer, Harrisons, over many years to ensure that all diets are caterered for wherever possible.  It may be that some intolerances are so specific, and potentially dangerous, to the child involved that the family may prefer to send that child with a packed lunch.  However, in most cases, and with good notice, we are able to offer a lunch to the child involved, although there will understandably be less choice.  Parents and Carers can check the menus below to see whether what is on offer each day will suit their child.

Gluten free meals

‘As a responsible company, Harrison takes the management of food allergies and intolerances very seriously. We endeavour to work collaboratively with schools and parents to ensure food allergies, intolerances or special dietary needs are managed in accordance with current legal legislation and listen and provide solutions to encourage as many children as possible to enjoy a meal.

As a caterer with a fresh food approach, we work hard to ensure when identifying solutions, we always seek to have an open and transparent relationship with schools and parents. Where possible, make changes to menus and introduce a more extensive choice; however, any changes need to be sustainable and realistic in terms of procurement, preparation and service delivery.

For example, we serve a wide selection of food suitable for gluten-free diets – such as:

  1. The majority of the meat dishes;
  2. Roast dinner;
  3. Baked fish (without a coating),
  4. Sausages;
  5. Jacket potatoes;
  6. Rice (instead of pasta)
  7. Salads;
  8. Fresh vegetables;
  9. Fresh fruit;
  10. Biscuits (using gram flour)
  11. Jelly;
  12. Ice Cream;
  13. Mousse;
  14. Fruit Lolly;

Our policy and top priority is to put the welfare of children first, and as such we recognise that a small number of children can get an allergic reaction or intolerance to a commonly eaten food, although every care is taken to prevent such a reaction happening.  For information on our Food Allergies & Food Intolerances Policy, visit https://www.harrisoncatering.co.uk/food-allergies-food-intolerances
