Magnificent Museum Day at EPS
Today our lovely school was completely transformed into an exciting museum with interesting artefacts round every corner.

We saw a fantastic turn out for our Museum Day today.
This week, we have been looking at how we can look after our mental health.
On Tuesday this week it was Safer Internet Day. All the children joined an assembly by Mr Francis focusing on this year’s theme of ‘Want to Talk About It?’.
At Ecclesbourne, we love reading and we thought what better way to celebrate the upcoming World Book Day than by running an exciting reading competition!
Preparations are well under way for Museum Day, which takes place across Pegasus schools next Friday (10th February) In the attached photo, you will see Comets class at EPS have begun painting their Roman shields.
Last Monday and Tuesday, parents and carers with children in Year 1 and Reception were invited into school to watch how we teach their children phonics.
Year 2 Budding letter writers visit the postbox. In Year 2, we have been learning about letter writing in our English lessons and about toys in our topic learning.
Over the past two days, we welcomed parents and carers from our Year 2 and Reception classes to our Reading Café.
This week I have seen lots of lovely examples of children’s writing.
At Ecclesbourne we would like to say a massive thank you to Lidl who have been helping us with our breakfast provision.
Since their return to school after the break, Year 2 have immersed themselves in a Design Technology project based around biscuits.
A while back we posted the news story below about reading and our favourite places to read.
This half term our focus author is Mick Inkpen. He began his career as a graphic designer and worked on a cartoon strip for the Sunday Express newspaper.
We have had a very Christmassy, musical week at Beulah! Our choir has been very busy.
