ATW Reception News – Exploring the past with ‘Peepo’.
The children used the classic book ‘Peepo’ by Janet and Allan Ahlberg to explore how life has changed since the 1940s.

As daffodils start to appear around the school grounds and the days start to get a little longer, it is amazing to think that we are now half way through the school year.
This week Year 2 had the privilege of visiting Britain’s largest mosque – The Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden.
Our Year 6 pupils thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Bikeability, showing a fantastic attitude and a strong focus on safety throughout.
On Friday, our Year 6 area was completely transformed into the heart of Ancient Egypt.
It was so lovely to share all the children’s fantastic work with parents today.
This week in Reception, we have been exploring the story Billy and the Beast.
Year 5 enjoyed a memorable visit to the Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in West Croydon as part of their RE learning about the Sikh faith.
We were incredibly fortunate on Wednesday in Little Cypress as Bobby’s mummy came in to play her harp to us all in Rainbows and Nursery.
The doors opened to a sea of visitors this morning as we began our annual Museum Day.
At Pegasus, we believe that all children can achieve in maths and we have been working with the NCETM (National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics) to develop a project that is applying current research on how children learn to problem-solve.
Today, the corridors and classrooms of Atwood have been buzzing with the sounds and sights of Museum Day.
At the Lower School we learnt about joy this week in assembly.
It has been a week of mystery, giggles, and some very strange ingredients!
