On Friday, our school proudly joined classrooms across the country to take part in Jeans for Genes Day. By swapping our usual uniforms for denim, our community came together to raise vital funds and awareness for children and families affected by genetic disorders.
To prepare for the big day, we held a special assembly earlier in the week where the children learned all about what Jeans for Genes Day means and exactly how our fundraising helps. Inspired by what they learned, every class got creative and decorated their own unique pair of jeans. These fantastic, colourful creations were then displayed outside the school on Friday to help raise awareness throughout our local community.
The children thoroughly enjoyed coming to school in their jeans and were incredibly excited to support such a meaningful cause. Beyond the fundraising, it was a wonderful opportunity to talk about kindness, compassion, and how even small contributions can make a massive difference to families facing difficult health and developmental challenges.
