We want to say a warm welcome to all of our new pupils and their families in our Nursery. It has been lovely to see how well the children are settling into their new routines and enjoying their play. The children have been learning how to look after the resources in their classroom by putting them away in the right place when they have finished with them. We are also practising asking for a turn and how to share the resources with our new friends. We are so happy to see the children interacting and seeking out others to play with.
Over the past few weeks, we have been learning the songs ‘Five Little Ducks’ and ‘Five Little Monkeys’. This week, we are getting very confident at singing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’. In Nursery, it is very important that we develop our physical skills, specifically our fine and gross motor skills. This will help us to get our muscles ready for writing and focusing on tasks for when we progress to other school years. We have been busy playing , arranging, and lifting different objects like bikes, pushchairs, boxes; painting walls with big brushes; pinching, rolling, and cutting playdough with tools, and enjoying lots of other fun activities.
