WHINF – A Bear and A Piano
Year 2 had quite an incredible experience this morning. You could call it complete immersion into their new English book ‘The Bear and The Piano’.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Our Year 1 journey has started with a burst of imagination and creativity!
This week we have been focusing on caring for others at the Lower School.
This week in Nursery, we have been reading the story ‘Owl Babies’.
Today, we hosted a very successful Macmillan Coffee morning. We had lots of parents/carers come to join us for a hot drink and a nice slice of cake.
Thank you to our families for all your generous donations of cake and cash in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
This week we have been learning the book So Much and practicing counting to five.
It has been a busy week with a special author visit and our lovely new library to celebrate.
In Reception, the children have had a great deal of fun sharing information about themselves and their families.
On Tuesday, the children of Atwood were so excited as they prepared for the Grand Opening of the newly refurbished library.
It is always a pleasure to hear our candidates for House Captaincy speak so eloquently about their hopes and dreams for leading the school, particularly to sporting success against each other!

Dear Pegasus families, At Pegasus, we love a good story. Here’s the chance for children to write their own stories and enter a national writing competition called 500 words.
On Thursday, the boys’ football team at Atwood began their campaign for the season.
The children of Key Stage 1 are back in school! Spotted: classroom bursting back into life, filled with chatter, laughter and just a touch of excitement.
