Beulah – Lilac Class Assembly 2026

What a show! 🌟

Lilac Class absolutely sparked with excitement in their recent assembly and whisked us all on a whirlwind journey through time.

From the very first moment, they took us back to the Tudors and The Great Fire of London. They kicked off by showing off their impressive mathematical prowess to calculate just how many years ago these events happened (brains and confidence!). We were then introduced to the most famous Tudor of them all, Henry VIII (Alex in costume), followed by the grand entrance of his six wives, who confidently presented themselves and their rather dramatic endings! This led perfectly into a showstopping rendition of the Horrible Histories class; ‘Divorced, Beheaded and Died’. Hands down, one the best versions we’ve heard.

Next stop: 1666! We met Samuel Pepys and his famous diary, brought to life with stunning acting from RoccoπŸ‘.

Suddenly the hall heated up. Don’t worry, there were no real fires. The children explained how The Great Fire of London began in a bakery and how people tried to fight fire back then. Sofia delivered the powerful lesson learned form the fire – build using bricks!

The show ended with a bang – an outstanding remix of Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire”, beautifully supported by our very own musical maestro, Mr Smith, on guitar.

Honestly, these assemblies are edging close to West End productions and would not be possible without the dedication, creativity and hard work of the teachers and teaching assistants. We are so proud of Lilac Class – what a performance!
