CYP Lower – Welcome to the Summer Term in Little Cypress
Welcome Back! How wonderful it was to welcome the Rainbow and Nursery children back to Little Cypress this week!

Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely break. The children have been telling us all about their activities during the Easter holiday.
In Reception this week we used the story of Little Red Riding Hood to help children learn new words and enjoy reading.
We had the absolute best day ever in Reception at Beulah when real-life heroes came to visit us!
Our recent reading competition was a huge success, and it was amazing to see all the different places you chose to read!
This week, Ecclesbourne celebrated World Maths Day in style! The children’s costumes for the maths mufti were amazing and incredibly creative (please take a look at the pictures).
This week, we have been learning all about the Easter celebration.
This half term, the Reception children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring their exciting topic, “To The Rescue!”
Last Thursday was Gold class last ‘Share a story’ of the term.
Cress Sandwiches Our cress mountain grew so quickly last week and when we came back to school on Monday, we had a veritable jungle on our hands!
Last Tuesday 10th March, Gold class had a very exciting visit from ‘Pets On the Green’.
What a fun-packed week we have had in Little Cypress! We have been very keen to make cards by cutting and sticking and writing messages to our friends.
In literacy we have been looking for signs of spring and reading the story of “Clean Up”.
Lots of learning to recap on this week! On Monday, we introduced the story Willbee the bumblebee.
This week, the children continued with the topic, ‘To the Recue!’
