We have celebrated Science week in Gold Class. The children enthusiastically participated in a range of experiments.

This week in Nursery, we have been celebrating science week! Our focus was changes over time and we did the following experiments: Whisked egg whites – we had a discussion on how the friction turned the whites from a liquid to a solid.

This week in Reception, the children have been continuing their learning around our ‘Once Upon a Time’ topic. 

Yellow Class have had such a fun, hands-on week working as real scientists for Science Week!

Wow, what a completely amazing Science Week we have had! Every single classroom turned into a busy little laboratory, and our wonderful children had the best time being real scientists.

What an exciting start to a week we have had in Little Cypress!

What fun weeks we had so far in Gold class. This term is our “Wheels on the Bus” topic.

What a spectacular start to Science Week 2026 at Beulah Infant and Nursery School!

Superstar Writers! In Little Cypress, and especially in Nursery, we have been noticing that the children have been really interested in writing.

In literacy these last two week we used Jack and the Beanstalk as part of our learning.

This week in Reception, the children continued their learning about the duck life cycle, observing how the ducklings have been changing over time and learning how to care for them properly.

On Monday 4th May 2026, it was International Firefighters’ Day. To celebrate this day, Reception were lucky enough to have a workshop with FOBBS (Figures of Black British Society) founder, Kayleigh Oliver.

May Days Once again we have had a fun-packed week in Nursery and Rainbows, despite it being a short one, following the May bank holiday on Monday.

On Tuesday, an incubator containing five eggs arrived in Reception. The children learned about what sort of animals laid eggs then made predictions about what might be growing inside our ones.

We’ve had lots of fun in the sun this week.  We have been reading the story ‘The Big Red Bus’ by Judy Hindley.
