To celebrate the end of our amazing Reception year, Yellow Class went on a very special trip to Godstone Farm — and what a day it was!
One of the highlights of the day was the pig race – we cheered, laughed, and had so much fun watching the speedy pigs who were called ‘Salt’ and ‘Pepper’ dash to the finish line!
We also got hands-on with the animals, feeding goats and pigs, and meeting a whole range of furry and feathered friends including cows, llamas, piglets, chickens, chicks, rabbits, horses, and many more. We even learnt fascinating facts about animals we hadn’t met before!
A particularly special moment was getting to hold and feel a real chick and a tortoise. Jahmilia smiled and said, “The chick is so cute!”
Our adventure didn’t stop there — we had a minibeast experience, searching high and low for all sorts of tiny creatures. We were so excited to share all the minibeast facts we’ve been learning in class!
At the end of the day, Diana summed it up perfectly: “It was the best day ever!”
What a wonderful way to wrap up our fantastic Reception year. We’ll remember this trip forever!
