CYP – We are Independent Learners
On Tuesday it was Safer Internet Day and this year the theme was ‘Too Good To Be True’.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

It has been a very busy day at Cypress Lower. We started the day with children and staff arriving dressed as dragons, monsters, toys and Tudors.
At the Lower School, we are learning about empathy. We began by learning that empathy is the ability to share someone else’s feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in that person’s situation.
We began the day at Cypress Lower today with a lovely assembly from Blue Class.
It has been another busy week at Cypress with children making leaps in their learning and heading out on trips to learn from the world around us.
We have had a busy week of learning at Cypress and we have loved seeing the children progress.

Reception at Cypress Lower have been working very hard over the last few weeks to prepare for their ‘Wriggly Nativity’.
We are very proud to announce that Miss Chapman, Deputy Head of School, is part of a Department for Education campaign to promote careers in the Early Years.
This week, we have been showing how kind and caring we are towards each other as it has been ‘Friendship Week’ At the Lower School, we started the week with a special assembly led by Miss Williams where we learnt all about what it means to be a good friend.
It has been another busy week at Cypress and children have been busy learning and exploring and showing they care At the Lower School, we marked Remembrance Day with a special assembly.
We began the week at Lower site with a special ‘Speak out and Stay Safe‘ assembly.
We had a wonderful start to the day at Cypress Lower today.
Black History Week at Cypress This week we have celebrating Black History Week across both sites and studying the book ‘Change Sings’ by Amanda Gorman.
This week we have been celebrating the festival of Harvest and special assemblies have taken place at both the Upper and Lower School.
