What an incredible half term we have had in Little Cypress!

This week the children have been looking at significant figures and events in Black British History. 

This week in reception we have been looking the book Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.

This week, we have been learning about brave men and women who have fought against inequality and the rights of people of colour around the world.

Mr Veale’s Welcome Harvest Festival 2022 Harvest Festival 2022 went really well. 

There was a splash of colour today at Ecclesbourne as children wore red to take a stand against racism. 

A huge, huge thank you to all of our families for their amazing contributions to this year’s Harvest Festival collection.

Each lunchtime, we have a dedicated trio of boys that love to get together and have a jam.

Did you know that Florence Nightingale visited Atwood a little while ago?

Year 3 have been really enjoying learning about dinosaurs in reading, literacy and thematic.

Today, as part of their religious education studies, the children in year 4 visited the Hindu temple (or Mandir) in Thornton Heath.
