A very wet and miserable Tuesday afternoon exploded in to a symphony of music and colour as our wonderful Year 2 children treated us to an upbeat mini concert. The children sang with such enthusiasm and confidence as each one of our three Year 2 classes took their moment in the spotlight.
The staff in Year 2 have all worked incredibly hard to ensure that the children were performance ready and they certainly didn’t disappoint! We had Ruby Class kick things off with ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’, Violet Class treated us to ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ and Turquoise Class brought the house down with ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’. Joshua did brilliantly with his saxophone solo, as did Heidi on her air guitar: Brian May eat your heart out! It was a truly joyous performance and we were particularly impressed with how the children had learned some British Sign Language (BSL) actions to go with their songs.
We are all now feeling very festive as Year 2 brought our Christmas performances to a close today. All that remains is for us to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2024.
