Earlier on this term, one of our Eco Friends – Shay in Indigo Class, wrote a persuasive letter to Ms Hall asking for a battery recycling bin to be installed in school. And guess what? Whitehorse Manor Infants and Juniors now have a battery recycling box!
If you have any batteries that need to be disposed of then please bring them to school and deposit them in the box located at the main office (please do not bring any car batteries, industrial batteries and batteries with connecting wires). Remember, putting batteries into a general waste bin can be dangerous as they may catch on fire! Dispose of them safely by using a designated battery recycling bin.
