It has been a very busy week back in school with a number of trips and lots of excitement as we build up to the Summer Fair.

This week has been very busy at Cypress Upper with both our Key Stage 2 Sports’ Days taking place.
What a spectacular way to start the new term! On Monday 1st June, our Year 3 pupils returned from their half-term holiday and immediately stepped into a time machine.
Get ready for some serious crafting excitement in Year 2! As part of their brilliant new Design and Technology project all about puppets, our fantastic students have been busy mastering the essential art of the running stitch.
On the Thursday before half term, teams of Year 5 children from EPS and Cypress Upper entered the annual Royal Russell Maths Challenge, Pitting their wits against around twenty other schools from all over London, they took part in various problem-solving and arithmetic challenges to earn points and try to bring the trophy home.
Year 2 have been so relentlessly busy this Science Week that they’re basically one lab coat away from full-blown mad scientist status.
We have celebrated Science week in Gold Class. The children enthusiastically participated in a range of experiments.
This week marks our Trust wide ‘Science Week’. The theme for this year is ‘Curiosity’ which we have been exploring in different ways.
This week Year 2 have become habitat detectives. We have found out what a habitat is and that there are different types of habitat.
This week in Nursery, we have been celebrating science week! Our focus was changes over time and we did the following experiments: Whisked egg whites – we had a discussion on how the friction turned the whites from a liquid to a solid.
Our school community came together over for food, music and fun at our Multicultural Day organised by our Ecclesbourne PTFA.
