CYP- Colouring the World with Kindness
We have had a busy week of learning at Cypress and we have loved seeing the children progress.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Year of the Snake 2025 Chinese New Year falls on the 29th January this year and it is the Year of the Snake.
On Thursday, Year 1 had a brilliant morning discovering new and exciting facts about toys from the past.
The last two weeks, nursery have been focusing on the book ‘The Gingerbread Man’ by Alan MacDonald and what fun we have had!
This week in Reception, all of the children turned into scientists!
From making slime to building shadufs, there has been a lot going on at Atwood this week.
Year 5 had an enriching visit to the Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in West Croydon as part of their Religious Education unit on the Sikh faith.
Our Year 1 classes had a fantastic day on Monday, learning all about toys from the past.
Our Year 1 classes were thrilled yesterday by the visit of Mrs Jenkins, who brought a whole load of old toys to explore!
Professor Bubbleworks visited Reception today and the children in Stars and Rockets class transformed into scientists, creating their very own balls of slime!
Wow! A wonderful transformation took place in Chestnut classroom on Thursday evening.
It was lovely seeing all the children back in nursery this week and hearing about all the fun they had during the Christmas break.

Happy New Year. It has been lovely to see all the children back in school after the break and we have launched straight back in to our learning.
Today we were visited by the MP for Croydon North and Streatham and the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Steve Reed.
