CYP UPPER: Jubilant Jubilee Celebrations!
This week has been a testing week for our Year 6s.

Sunday May 15th Multiple locations – see below 9:30am @ South Norwood Lakes for age 10+ 11am @ Monument for all abilities A fantastic and fun co-creation with our friends at Kidical Mass London, we’re going for a ride to (for big kids) and through (for everyone) Central London, a parade with IBikeLondon’s wonderful cargo bike sound systems loaded up with a family friendly playlist along the Thames Cycleways, lunch in Southwark Park (great cafe with wide range of kid friendly options!),
Thanks to our first delivery from the Felix project we were able to set up our first market stall providing our families with fresh, nutritious foods.
Last week, Beulah children had an explosive visit from the Royal Institute!
This half term our focus author is Anthony Browne. He has won many awards for his work including the Kate Greenaway Medal (twice), the Kurt Maschler Award (three times) and in June 2009 Anthony was announced as the sixth Children’s Laureate.
This week in Nursery we have read the book ‘We All Go Travelling By’ by Sheena Roberts, which introduced us to lots of types of different types of vehicles.
We were very excited to celebrate Eid together at Beulah today and hear all about the exciting celebrations that will take place next week.
Tickets please… next stop Gold Class. This week in Nursery we started our new topic all about transport, focusing this week on buses.
As part of their Literacy work around the text ‘Wolf Brother’ by Michelle Paver, Year 6 were visited by two cave people, Twig and Ochre, who camped on the field at Whitehorse Manor Junior School for 3 nights.
Over the last couple of weeks, Year 6 have been studying the text ‘Varmints’ by Helen War and Marc Craste.
Works update During lockdown our landscape gardeners were busy outside at Cypress Lower continuing the work to make our woodland more accessible and useable for outdoor education.
As we come into the Christmas season many parents may be considering buying tablets or laptops for their children which will allow them to access social media sites.
