Graceful Gymnastics in Year 3
In Year 3, we have had the privilege of having Ms Smythe support our gymnastics lessons for the past half term.

Our YR1 classes had a fabulous time yesterday on their Moon immersion day.
As part of our thematic unit, Walk Like An Egyptian, Year 6 have been studying the River Nile in Egypt and comparing it to the River Thames.
Moon Day was a memorable end to our topic about the first moon landing.
All of the children enjoyed stretching, breathing and meditating in their Yoga lessons today delivered by an instructor from ’Children’s Yoga Tree’.
This week we had a very special assembly delivered by our Junior Travel Ambassadors showing us how to stay safe on the roads and launching their road safety competitions.
Last week, Mathletics (our online maths programme) held the National Numeracy Challenge – a week long competition where pupils scored points against other pupils in a worldwide competition.
Over the last couple of weeks, Year 6 have been studying the text ‘Varmints’ by Helen War and Marc Craste.
Today has been a super, comfortable day for everyone at Cypress Primary, as we all came into school wearing our cosiest pyjamas and onesies in order to raise money for Children in Need.
At the Upper School this week, we have been thinking about kindness and how random acts of kindness can make recipients feel.
As part of our thematic learning, Year 3 at Whitehorse and Brigstock visited Crystal Palace Park to view where the Great Exhibition once took place.
It has been an incredibly busy – but super fun – week for us in Y5.
Over the past week, children at Beulah have been learning about the Hindu festival, Diwali.
This week, we have been investigating a number of influential black people in recent British history that made a huge impact to society and the way we live our lives today.
Year 2 have been spoilt with a trip to Hampton Court Palace.
