Saturn class spent their “We Love Reading” session today dipping into the four Sparks Award shortlisted books.

The sun has finally come out and we are starting to see the first signs of spring around the school as the daffodils start to bloom.

Welcome Back! How lovely it was to welcome the children back on Monday for the second half of our Spring Term!

This week in Reception, we were burgled! On Monday, the children returned from lunch to find the classroom in disarray.

Our Nursery started the week by sharing experiences and moments from our half term.

Year 2 have thoroughly enjoyed working with RedSTART and their team of volunteers this week to learn about money.

This week in Yellow Class, we kicked off our exciting new topic, “People Who Help Us!”

We are thrilled to introduce our English Champions, a dedicated group of students from Year 3 to Year 6 who have taken on special responsibilities to inspire and support reading and writing across the school.

Ecclesbourne were delighted to host Sarah Jones, Labour MP for West Croydon and Minister of Industry.

Last week, all the children at Ecclesbourne Primary School participated in the NSPCC’s Speak Out, Stay Safe programme.

On Tuesday it was Safer Internet Day and this year the theme was ‘Too Good To Be True’.

The half term has gone by in a whirlwind and it is amazing to think that we are already half way through the school year. 

This half term Year 2 have been learning about materials in Science.

In yellow class, it has been an exciting adventure this week with our learning as we used our writing, creativity, maths, and imagination skills in some delightful activities.

In Reception this week, we read the book, ‘Peepo’ by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.
