Last Week, Year 1 set off on a very important mission to explore the wild, wonderful world of Thornton Heath. Armed with sharp eyes, curious minds and sensible walking shoes, Green and Purple class took their learning to the autumnal streets.
They spotted colourful leaves, friendly faces and even the mighty Thornton Heath clock tower standing tall and proud (like it knew it was famous!) The children admired the various local church, waved at passers-by and gasped in awe at the legendary local landmark – the big TESCO!
A few of the children even commented happily, “My mummy shops here.”
Their journey ended at the park, where tired feet rested and giggles filled the air as they played. It was a fun morning out for the children of our lovely school.
The teachers would like to thank the parents who volunteered their time to help out on the day. Take a look at the pictures below to see the children having fun.
