Au revoir, Year 6.
It’s always an emotional last day when we say goodbye to our Year 6 classes.

It’s always an emotional last day when we say goodbye to our Year 6 classes.
For the past five weeks the Junior Choir has visited the Clarendon Nursing Home opposite the school to sing for residents and staff.
Year 6 (main site) gave a modern twist to ‘the Scottish play’ when they trod the boards to present ‘Macbeth’ to parents as their leavers’ production.
Yesterday, it was a real pleasure to drive down and visit the Year 6 who have been camping at the Cuffley Active Learning Centre near Potters Bar.
Pupils in Year 4 have completed their intensive, two week swimming course at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre.
Today we celebrated World Book Day at Whitehorse Manor Junior School with some very well disguised pupils and staff members.
What a delight to be visited by rapper and author Breis today.
Today, 5D Lipizzan Class shared their Class Assembly on the book Robot Girl by Malorie Blackman.
What a pleasure to share 4P Morgan’s Class Assembly on the Chinese New Year this morning.
Whilst there was much excitement this morning when the children arrived to see the snow-clad field, there was also disappointment for the choir when it became clear that the treacherous conditions outside, and the knock on effect of these on the bus service, would mean their planned visit to the Whitgift Centre to sing carols could not go ahead.
Thursday morning saw a wonderful demonstration of teaching for Maths Mastery in Year 4 (4P).
This time last year I was approached by one of our parents, asking if we had any old and unused resources which might be useful to a Nursery School that her mother was setting up in Ghana.
Congratulations to the selected pupils from Year 3 and 4 who took part in the Croydon Schools’ Cross Country event at Lloyd Park on Tuesday 4th October.
A highlight of the end of year is the opportunity for pupils in different year groups to share their music work with each other.
We were pleased to be visited today by Steve Reed, Shadow Secretary of State for Justice and MP for Croydon North, so that he could meet with our School Council to discuss local matters and tell them a little bit more about his work as our local MP.
