CYP: Celebrating a Successful Term
It has been a busy four days in the run up to the Christmas after what has been a very long term.

This week has seen Atwood take to the stage with 7 Christmas performances and a Rock and Roll concert from Rocksteady.
It has been a week of wonderful shows at Atwood with 7 performances across a range of classes and ages.
Shadufs As part of their design and technology learning, the children in Year 6 have been making shadufs.
Year 6 recently visited the Natural History Museum to develop their knowledge of their science topic ‘Evolution and Inheritance.’
The Whitehorse Year 5 and 6 Indoor Athletics Team competed against other schools in Croydon at a qualifying event today.
Year 6 were lucky enough to have PC Rick Flynn and PC Martin Allen come in and discuss issues the children might face with their transition to Secondary School.
Road Safety Week We have been focusing on Road Safety this week at Cypress and the children have enjoyed learning more about keeping safe on our roads.
Ecclesbourne made it three wins out of three following a stunning 7-0 victory against South Norwood Primary school.
Ecclesbourne’s fantastic start to the netball season continued with a stunning 5-3 win for the A team.
Ecclesbourne began their netball season with a pair of stunning victories.

Yesterday, over 50 of our Year 1-4 children competed at the Croydon schools cross country event.
A shortened week this week means a shorter newsletter. However, just because we’ve only had three days in school it doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy.
As part of their studies on places of worship the Year 3 children visited St John the Evangelist Church in Upper Norwood.
