Gardening Club at WHJUN
The gardening club at WHJUN has been out in force this week, picking up litter, weeding and planting daffodil bulbs on the edge of the field for us all to enjoy in the Spring.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. The JTA’s (Junior Travel Ambassadors) are encouraging all staff, pupils and carers to dispense with their cars on Friday 29th September and explore other modes of transportation to and from school that day.

It was a lovely to hear our potential House and Vice House Captains give their election speeches last Friday.
It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that our lovely Teaching Assistant, Sharon Thomas, sadly died during the summer holidays.
It was lovely to welcome our pupils back last week in blazing sunshine and I’d like to extend a huge welcome to our new Year 3 classes, who have already been demonstrating great learning behaviours in their first week with us.
Parents and carers will have become aware of the current issue with some schools in the UK that have buildings made of RAAC – Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.
It’s always an emotional last day when we say goodbye to our Year 6 classes.
For the past five weeks the Junior Choir has visited the Clarendon Nursing Home opposite the school to sing for residents and staff.
Year 6 (main site) gave a modern twist to ‘the Scottish play’ when they trod the boards to present ‘Macbeth’ to parents as their leavers’ production.
Yesterday, it was a real pleasure to drive down and visit the Year 6 who have been camping at the Cuffley Active Learning Centre near Potters Bar.
