Mr Veale’s welcome We got there in the end! It’s the last day of March and the last day of the Spring Term.

To celebrate the end of Spring term, Year 6 baked vegan hot cross buns!
It hardly seems possible that we have now reached the last day of the Spring Term!
What a fantastic half term we have had at Cypress Primary School!
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated Easter eggs and bought raffle tickets this week!
We have had lots of fun in nursery over the last two weeks.
This week Reception have delighted in taking part in a range of creative activities while learning about Easter.
The Green Project are running free gardening sessions at Bensham Manor Allotments for parents and children during the Easter Holidays.
In Year 3, we have started our new thematic topic, Like a Rolling Stone.
Parents at Cypress will have heard by now that we are introducing a new way of reporting absence and communicating with the school via an app called ‘Studybugs’.
Year 2 have had a successful start to their forest school sessions.
The Boys’ Football Team played Gresham on St Patrick’s Day. This was a stunning away match, but it is fair to say that Atwood struggled against a stronger Gresham side.
As part of our learning about people who help us in an emergency, we have been looking at police officers and the role they play in our society.
This week in reception we have had a special visitor from a dentist.
As part of out ‘To the Rescue!’ topic, we have been focussing on people who recue us when our health is in an emergency.
