WHINF – Diwali workshop in Year 2
Year 2 were visited by Nabhi this week who delivered a captivating and inspiring workshop about Diwali.

It is poetry week and to celebrate year 3 have been looking at the poem ‘From a Railway Carriage’ by Robert Louis Stevenson.
We have had a fantastic week in Little Cypress, focusing on rhymes as part of National Poetry Day (Thursday, 7th October).
We’ve had a great week at Cypress Lower School, which ended today with the first PTFA cake sale of the school year.
On Thursday 7th October we celebrated National Poetry Day in school.
This week in Nursery we have been singing the nursery rhyme ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.’
This week children at Brigstock enjoyed science workshops as part of the Royal Institutes Science In Schools Program.
It was lovely to see lots of parents attending the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 curriculum meetings.
In Year 1 we read the book ‘I Want My Hat Back’ by Jon Klassen.
Hello to all the new reception parents! The children have all settled in nicely and are now used to the daily routines of school life.
Today, the school council held their first, official meeting, where the children were able to share their hopes for this year.
All the children were delighted to welcome back (albeit virtually) Alim Kamara to Ecclesbounre today.
What a delight to welcome Alim Kamara – storyteller extraordinaire, master of motivation and all-round good guy – back to Whitehorse Manor Junior School.
The founder of myHappymind is running a brand new, FREE, online training series for parents and carers called Happiness Hacks Live.
It has been so good to come back to school this year to what feels like a ‘normal’ September.
