We have had a very Christmassy, musical week at Beulah!
Our choir has been very busy. Last Friday they went to sing at East Croydon Station on behalf of St Christopher’s Hospice. They sang so beautifully to all the commuters passing by and managed to raise a fantastic amount of £115 for St Christopher’s. Then on Thursday, they went to sing at Tesco’s in Thornton Heath. They were warmly welcomed by all the staff and shoppers and gave an outstanding performance. Tesco’s very generously gave them each a Santa hat and selection box as a reward for their fabulous singing.
On Wednesday we held our Music Showcase Assembly. Each year group performed some of the Christmas songs they have learnt and the Choir showcased. Mr Smith’s Music Club did a fantastic performance of Jingle Bells, playing glockenspiels, drums and ukuleles.
We finished our week with a trip to St Paul’s Church where everyone enjoyed singing their favourite songs of the season and listened to a lovely story from the Reverend Derrick about the shepherds and kings.
