ATW Nursery News – 28th November
We were scientists this week! Whilst learning all about the colours in the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet), we have taken on the role of rainbow scientists!
We are currently recruiting newly qualified and experienced teachers to join The Pegasus Academy Trust either in April or September 2026. Please email Lynne Sampson one of our Executive Principals on lsampson@pegasusacademytrust.org for an informal chat or a chance to visit.

In Nursery, this week the children have been learning about the colours of the rainbow and triangles.
This week in Reception, the learning has been based around the book ‘Emma Jane’s aeroplane’ by Katie Haworth.
This week in Nursery, we have continued reading the story ‘Brown bear, Brown bear’.
This week, we have started to see the first signs of Christmas appearing in school.
It has been another busy week in Reception. The children continued looking at the story “Naughty Bus” by Jan and Jerry Oke with their learning extended by creating a version of the book.
Our Year 1 classes had an amazing day during their trip to the Moon.
This week, in amongst all of our lessons, we managed to find the time to stop and reflect with a two minutes silence on Tuesday.
Another fun week in Nursery! On Tuesday, we had a visit from the Dentist.
The thematic learning this half term relates to ‘Our Amazing World’.
This week in Nursery, we had some very special visitors! In follow up from reading the story ‘owl babies’ last term, we had a visit from the Kent owl academy.
Even though the first week back has only been four days, we’ve managed to pack in a lot.
This week in Reception, the children did a great job settling back from the half term holiday.
The Winners! Well done to everybody who entered this year, the pumpkins looked amazing.
As we look forward to the half term break, we can reflect on a very busy first half term.
