Our Year 1 classes had an amazing day during their trip to the Moon. The adventure started as the children put on their space hats and books before setting off for an unforgettable experience. Once the children arrived, they explored their surroundings and collected Moon gems which they could take back down to Earth. They also participated in a range of exciting messy play activities inspired by the Moon’s surface, craters and textures.
After their exploration, the children settled down for a delicious picnic which consisted of jam sandwiches and space-themed biscuits. All prepared by the space astronauts (the children)!
It was a fantastic day and the perfect introduction before our upcoming visit to the Science Museum.
