Atwood’s Weekly news for week ending Friday 10th March
Mr Veale’s welcome I’m really pleased that the new screen outside the Junior Hall is now operational.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Mrs Hutchinson has long coordinated the Books for Africa scheme which sees books that are no longer being used at Atwood being sent to Africa so that children there can learn to read.

This half term, children from across all the Pegasus schools came together to perform poems in front of a panel of judges.
Mr Veale’s welcome We have made it through January. At the time of writing, the intensity of the sunlight is getting brighter and stronger, as the Sun appears to climb higher in the sky.
This term in reception we have been following the topic of ‘Watch out!
Year 2 Budding letter writers visit the postbox. In Year 2, we have been learning about letter writing in our English lessons and about toys in our topic learning.
This week in Year One we have been looking at the non-fiction text, ‘Chinese New Year: Festivals Around the World’.
