Sports Day! The best day of the school calendar!
On Tuesday, the air around the school was charged with ‘sporting spirit’. All the children were dressed in their House colours; Athens (yellow), Sparta (red), Olympia (green) and Corinth (blue). The teachers created a circuit of essential games; sack race, egg and spoon, tug of war and relay races.
Under the bluest sky, the children demonstrated excellent balancing skills in the egg and spoon races and ran with great speed in the relay races. However, the most popular by far, was the sponge relay and the tug of war! A big thank you to all of the staff for organising the events and to our many parents/carers that joined us to cheer the children on.
