Year Three had a fantastic day working with Martin from Architecture Workshops to create their very own model of the Crystal Palace. The children explored how structures can be made stronger and learned the mathematical names for different shapes used in construction.
They were truly amazed when their individual creations were combined to form a large-scale model they could actually walk through! Stepping inside, the children imagined themselves as Victorian visitors strolling around the original Crystal Palace. It was a memorable, hands-on learning experience that brought history, maths and design to life.
