This week marks our Trust wide ‘Science Week’. The theme for this year is ‘Curiosity’ which we have been exploring in different ways. Our celebration assembly today was a delight with all year groups feeding back on their curiosity questions, science skills wheel and the investigations that they planned with their year group’s key question in mind. There was real progression as we went through the year groups especially in terms of children talking about the impact of fair testing and evaluating their findings.
Here are the questions that each year group explored about the world that we live in:
We had a whole school prize of a rocket launcher and in class today the children had a chance to play with the rocket launchers and considered why the rockets were able to launch into the air and what forces acting on them.
In our assembly we also said goodbye to Ms Nicols who goes on maternity leave today. The children and all the staff wish her lots of love and can’t wait to meet her new baby.
