PAT-Poetry Competition!
This half term, children from across all the Pegasus schools came together to perform poems in front of a panel of judges.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. Mr Veale’s welcome We have made it through January. At the time of writing, the intensity of the sunlight is getting brighter and stronger, as the Sun appears to climb higher in the sky.
On Monday in KS1 we had a special NSPCC assembly where we learnt about our children’s rights and how we can ‘Speak out Stay Safe’.
We have been enjoying learning more about the Lunar New Year; the Year of the Rabbit.
This week, the children in Year 5 visited the British Museum to study artefacts from our Viking past.

Last Monday and Tuesday, parents and carers with children in Year 1 and Reception were invited into school to watch how we teach their children phonics.
EPS’s boys’ football team put in a spirited performance to beat Elmwood 4-2.
This term in reception we have been following the topic of ‘Watch out!
This week in nursery we have loved joining in with the traditional tale, The Three Little Pigs.
Year 2 Budding letter writers visit the postbox. In Year 2, we have been learning about letter writing in our English lessons and about toys in our topic learning.
This week in Year One we have been looking at the non-fiction text, ‘Chinese New Year: Festivals Around the World’.
This week Reception have been reading the story ‘Bog Baby’ by the author Jeanne Willis.
