WHINF – King’s Coronation!
As the country prepares for the biggest day of the year, reception have been learning about what to expect on the King’s coronation day!
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

We marked the Coronation of King Charles III with special activities and celebrations at Beulah today.
Mr Veale’s welcome The weather held for Atwood’s Coronation Picnic. In true British style, we looked to the heavens and had about 3 contingency plans, but in the end we were treated to fine weather and dry grass.
Although this week has been shorter than usual, it has been really busy and we have all been working very hard in all areas of our learning.
Commemorating the Coronation This week in Little Cypress has been awash with red, white and blue with lots of Coronation activities to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III, which is happening tomorrow, Saturday 6th May, at Westminster Abbey.
The children at Ecclesbourne Primary school dressed up today to recognise the King’s Coronation tomorrow.
In Year 1 we have been counting in 2s 5s and 10s.
This week in Reception the children have enjoyed learning all about the upcoming coronation of our new king, King Charles.
Toby (Year 6) performs well in Tennis Tournament On Thursday 4th May, Toby, who is in Year 6, represented Atwood as a prestigious tennis tournament.
Jade Class Present a ‘rock solid’ Class Assembly Well done to Jade class for performing their Class Assembly which explored their thematic learning based on the Stone Age.

Springtime has finally arrived at Beulah Infants Nursery School and we hope it is here to stay!
Today, Year 5 were lucky enough to experience some incredible STEM workshops delivered by Robyn from Procur3d Consulting Ltd.
Mr Veale’s welcome It is nearly time for the early May bank holiday and this means the celebration of spring and the fertility of the land.
Year 2 have loved reading ‘Rosie’s Magic Horse’ by Russell Hoban these past few weeks.
