There was a splash of colour today at Ecclesbourne as children wore red to take a stand against racism.
A huge, huge thank you to all of our families for their amazing contributions to this year’s Harvest Festival collection.
Each lunchtime, we have a dedicated trio of boys that love to get together and have a jam.

Year 3 have been really enjoying learning about dinosaurs in reading, literacy and thematic.
Atwood’s Harvest Festival 2022 At key points of the year, the entire school comes together in order to celebrate and remember and to say thanks.
Today, as part of their religious education studies, the children in year 4 visited the Hindu temple (or Mandir) in Thornton Heath.

Last week we were looking at a book called Owl Babies by Martin Waddell.
Atwood’s Parents Association have kindly supported us in purchasing some new books story books which will support any children or families who have, or are, experiencing trauma in their lives.
Year one had a brilliant start to their last week of this half term!
Year 2 have been watching a short film, ‘Baboon on the Moon’, as part of their literacy work.
