WHINF – Looking at London
Year 2 had a great time this week visiting London as part of their Thematic Topic.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. Year 2 had a great time this week visiting London as part of their Thematic Topic.
This morning, we started the day with a super assembly from Indigo Class.
Thank you to all the Reception families who joined us for our reading café this afternoon.
Today, we hosted a books, beans and bagels morning to celebrate the ‘Great Big Breakfast’ which is kindly sponsored by Magic Breakfast.
Our year 3 children started the week off with a fantastic workshop with RedSTART.
It was lovely to see so many of our nursery parents and carers join us this week for our termly reading cafe.
Award winning poet, Joshua Seigal, has got World Book Week underway with an inspirational assembly.
This week Year 3 had the opportunity to visit Sanderstead Library, where they met the Librarian who shared with them various types of texts about the Stone Age (our new theme).
It has been a fantastic first week back and the children have all settled back into school and their learning well.
Wellbeing Ambassadors are back in Atwood after the break of not having ambassadors for the previous year.
A great first week back and after a very wet week it was finally nice to see some spring sunshine today.
This week, Year 2 at Cypress Primary visited London and walked a grand total of 13,000 steps!
Mathematicians in the making! In Little Cypress we have settled straight back in to the routines after our half-term break.
In Reception this week, we have started our new topic “To the rescue!”
It was lovely to see so many parents attend the reading for pleasure workshop and ‘read with your child’ session.
