CYP LOWER: Spreading Happiness in Little Cypress!

Springing in to Action

We have had another fabulous week in Little Cypress, with the children impressing us with their increasing levels of independence, resilience and curiosity. We have been developing our gross motor skills, as well as our stamina, in the Adventure Playground and our Nursery playground.

We have been thinking about Spring and Growing, with signs of Spring all around us: the weather is warming up, the flowers are emerging and the blossom is starting to bloom on the trees. We have done some repeated printing patterns with pastel colours and Spring shapes this week.

Rainbows have started to make their Easter cards as well; what busy bees we have all been this week!

Makaton Sign of the Week

This week we are thinking about our Muslim friends who are fasting during Ramadan at the moment. The Muslim places of worship are called mosques and the sign of the week this week is mosque, which is very relevant for this special month. Click here to see how to sign this word.

Comic Relief – Red Nose Day

Friday brought much happiness as we marked Comic Relief Red Nose Day. This year, we came to school in clothes that bring us joy and what a joyful display we witnessed! Amongst many other outfits we had Disney Princess dresses, unicorns, T-Rex, Buzz Lightyear, various Superheroes, sparkly tops, NInja Turtles, to name but a few. We raised money for this worthwhile cause by donating money, as well as bringing in cakes for our after school cake sale.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that the sun comes out a few times as well!
