CYP Lower – New Beginnings in Little Cypress

Starting over

What a fabulous week we have had in Rainbows and Nursery! It has been a really big week for our very youngest Cypress children. Transitions and new starts can be difficult for us all but the children (and parents!) have coped so well with all the changes and the new routines. We know for some children, these transitions can take a little longer, but please bear with us and before too long, everyone will have settled happily. The children are already adapting amazingly well with all the new things they have to get used to in their new classrooms.

Naming all items

Please help us to help the children become more independent by clearly naming everything that comes in to Little Cypress. School jumpers and fleeces tend to all look the same and the children can not always recognise their own, so to avoid lost items, please name them, as well as coats, lunchboxes, water bottles and bags.

Busy bees

The children have had a busy week: learning to sit as a group for storytime and singing, painting, role-play, puzzles, playdough, building models, making patterns with maths equipment, drawing, colouring, writing, reading and so much more! Nursery have loved spending time in the Adventure Playground and our full time children have been walking up to the hall and back for their school dinner or packed lunch.

Well done everyone – we are so impressed with how brilliantly you are settling in Little Cypress and are looking forward to another fabulous week!
