This half term our focus author is Mick Inkpen. He began his career as a graphic designer and worked on a cartoon strip for the Sunday Express newspaper. His best-loved characters are probably Kipper and Wibbly Pig – who are both stars of their very own TV series! Mick Inkpen’s books have sold over 4 million copies, and have been translated into over twenty different languages. Please look out for this author when you are encouraging your children to ‘read for pleasure’ when choosing books from our playground library or Thornton Heath library.
