They are going to read these to their adults at the next reading cafe! In maths, the children have been counting in fives and using repeated addition to solve multiplication problems. They looked closely at animals’ characteristics to sort animals into reptiles and amphibians. Finally, in art the children have been using card and papier mâché to create their very own African masks.
In Year Two, the highlight of the week for the children was their trip to Morden Hall Park. The children absolutely loved discovering the different invertebrates living under logs and in the River Wandle. You can read more here:

Sports News
On Thursday, selected children from Year One attended a fun multi-skills event at Park Hill Juniors. The children got to learn and develop their skills in a range of activities including relay races, hurdles, foam javelins and catching and throwing.
Celebrating Teamwork
Well done to all the children who were awarded the Gold Award today in our special assembly. The definition of a team player is someone who cares more about helping a group or team to succeed than about his or her individual success and it was lovely to hear from the teachers about so many of the children who readily demonstrate this admirable character trait.
