Our last traditional tale of the term was ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. We have spent the last 2 weeks getting familiar with the story. Last week, the children arrived at Nursery to find a crime scene and helped solve the mystery by making wanted posters. Last Friday, they got to taste mummy, daddy and baby bear’s porridge to pick their favourite! Mummy bear’s porridge was too runny, daddy bear’s porridge was too salty but baby bear’s porridge was just right! The children were also busy helping getting props ready for museum day last week.
In maths, we have been learning about size; small, medium and big. We have used props from the story to help us order and sort things into groups depending on their sizes. This week, we consolidated our knowledge of length and sizes and have been singing lots of number songs.
On Wednesday, we had a very exciting delivery of a new climbing set! The children helped put it together and have been building on their risky play by finding new ways they can climb on it.
Today, we waved goodbye to Mrs Frost and wish her all the best as she begins her maternity leave.Thank you so much for all the fun and joy you have brought to us each Thursday. We will miss you and can’t wait to see you when you’re back!
Have a great and restful half term!
