Happy New Year from Little Cypress!

Happy New Year!

Wishing all our families a very Happy New Year 2026 and hoping that you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! The children have come back to school in fantastic form, ready to play, explore and learn. They have remembered our rules and routines and slotted straight back in to life in Little Cypress.

We have been opening up the whole of Little Cypress now that the children have been familiar with their classroom bases for a term and they have loved exploring both Rainbows and Nursery, inside and outside, throughout the session. It has been lovely to see the children play with different activities and with different children, learning to take turns and share with each other. We have reiterated how we behave in Little Cypress, to ensure that we all keep safe and happy. The children were brilliant at remembering what we do to make sure that we all work in harmony. What a fabulous start to 2026!

Cold, frosty and wet days!

The weather has not been particularly kind to us this week and we have experienced frost, ice, rain, wind, very chilly days and even a sprinkling of snow! The roads and paths around school have been very slippery, so we have had to be careful! Matching up gloves, hats, snoods and scarves with their rightful owner has been interesting this week! However, all weather offers learning opportunitiesĀ  and we have the most of the inclement conditions. We have loved exploring the tuff trays with ice and creatures frozen in to it. We had to work out the best way to try and rescue the animals from the ice!

Rainbow Certificates

A huge well done to Miguel, Luna De, Monae and Pippa from Nursery, and Tanvia, Max and Daisy from Rainbows for getting a Rainbow Certificate this week.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and that the weather improves..
