This week in Literacy, the children have been learning about the Nativity story. We enjoyed sharing the story together, talking about the different characters and events, and learning new Christmas vocabulary. The children have been practising listening carefully, answering questions, and retelling parts of the story in their own words. We are also getting ready for Christmas by sharing festive stories, songs and activities, which has created lots of excitement in the classroom. We all enjoyed our visit to the church, where the children listened carefully, asked questions and learned more about the Nativity story.
Thank you to all the parents who came to support our Christmas performance and stayed to enjoy the craft activities with the children last week.
In maths this week, we reviewed all the learning from this term. The children practised counting, recognising numbers, and exploring shapes and patterns through fun games and practical activities. We talked about numbers, sorting, and comparing amounts, helping to build confidence and understanding.
We hope everyone has a lovely, restful holiday and we look forward to seeing you all back in the new year.
