Today, Armistice Day, or Remembrance Day as it’s also known, marks the very day that World War One ended in 1918.
Here at Whitehorse Juniors, we held a beautiful service by our very own memorial, at the front of the school. We demonstrated our Pegasus Values impeccably during our two-minute silence at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, to remember and pay our respect and honour to those who have died in any conflict and sacrificed their life for us all.
We were lucky enough to be joined by members of the local community, Father Sean and Pat (from the Royal British Legion). They all play such an important part in showing the children how important this day is to everyone in the community.
We have a few photographs of the service.
