Cypress Upper: Shining our light!

Yesterday, we learned about Diwali and the significance of the festival of light and have listened to Hindu stories. Some of us have also written created firework inspired poetry. The house captains were very busy this morning selling poppies on both sites. Thank you to Evie, Florence, Jackson and Nicky selling poppies this morning. Poppies will be available to buy at the school gates before and after school until Wednesday afternoon (10th). We will be marking Remembrance Day with a special assembly next week and all classes will reflect in silence at 11:00am.

Cypress Superstars

Well done to Felice, Gabriele and Kenzo for their thoughtful firework inspired poems, utilising rhyme, rhythm and imagery. It was also great to hear you deliver them with such confidence! Well done to Gracie for her very creative rangoli pattern – great noticing, absorption and perseverance skills, Gracie!

Photo Day

Please note that the school photographer will be in on Wednesday 10th November. If you wish your children to have sibling photographs and they are on seperate sites (Upper and Lower), please arrive before school (no earlier than 8am) to have their photo taken before the school day begins. Photos will be taken in the Upper School hall.

Year 4 Roman Day

On Tuesday Year 4 have a Roman Day where they will learn more about the life of a Roman and spend the day  with a Roman visitor! Please feel free to send your child in a Roman- inspired outfit to help immerse them in the experience!

Forest School

Forest school returns on Monday for Hawthorn, Sycamore, Willow, Hazel and Oak class. Please send your child in old clothes on this day.

We hope you have a safe, fun-filled weekend.
