As part of their studies on places of worship the Year 3 children visited St John the Evangelist Church in Upper Norwood. Father John and Mother Rachael gave the children a lovely tour of the building and its many features. The children had a memorable day looking at the beautiful stained glass windows, learning about the parables and even designed and decorated their own wooden cross. Particularly exciting was acting out the parable of the Lost Sheep where children got to dress up and perform!
To end the lovely session, Father John showed off his great musical skills by playing the organ and singing happy birthday to Ms Francis and all the children who have birthdays celebrated in October!
