Year 1 had an out-of-this -world day during our Neil Armstrong Drama Workshop! We explored creativity and fun through learning, discovering the amazing life of Neil Armstrong – the first person to walk on the Moon.
All aboard Apollo 11!
With spacesuits, helmets, food and oxygen tanks, we got ready to blast off back in time to 1969! The children worked together to act out different parts of Neil Armstrong’s life, from being a brave soldier to a clever engineer and finally, a famous astronaut.
Using teamwork and imagination, we created the shapes of Apollo 11, twinkling stars and even a telescope! Everyone joined in with excitement, learning about the Moon landing while having so much fun acting and moving.
It was a fantastic day full of laughter, learning and adventure – proving we can reach for the stars when we learn through play!
