Y5 have been super busy this week, by diving deep into the Viking world. Earlier this week, the children made their own salt dough, which we used to make 3D Viking runes. These will be painted this week and will also be turned into necklaces – the children are very excited about this!
The children also had a go at creating their own board games, where they had to base their questions on facts about everyday Viking life. They did very well with this and are excited to have a go at playing their games on Friday.
Additionally, the children applied their creative skills to making Viking shields. They cut out their shields from cardboard bases and then painted their designs with a variety of colours. Well done Y5!
